Creative Director Maia Norman’s lifestyle and surroundings have heavily influenced the brand ethos and direction of Mother of Pearl. Norman has always had a strong connection with the art world and each season (was married to Damien Hirst), Mother of Pearl works with an acclaimed artist. The head designer Amy Powney has streamlined the Mother of Pearl aesthetic using the artists’ work as first hand  research and utilising them to feature cleverly as prints within the collection. Together They have created a unique brand and converted a global cult of followers.

Damir Doma *NEW IN* at Layers

Croatian born Damir Doma studied fashion in Munich and Berlin before graduation in 2004 with magna cum laude for the best collection. After his graduation Damir Doma moved to Belgian Fashion Capital Antwerp and started to work within the group of designers Ann Demeulemeester and later Raf Simons and Dirk Schoenberger. His time at Raf Simons has been taughted as having had a big impact of the young designer finding his now unique aesthetic and style. In 2007 his label debuted at Paris Fashion Week and kicked off the fashion worlds admiration for his talent.
